School Training

Many of the dogs are placed in the homes of families whose child attends school. The dogs not only need to be familiar with this environment, but they also need to be exposed to being handled by children. Some of the children with higher support needs may make loud noises or have unpredictable movements. Here you will see Yoshi training at a preschool to get used to staying calm and relaxed while being handled by the kids. Notice that I praise him with a "good boy!" and that you can see his tail wagging which tells us that he is enjoying the attention.
